Chief Technology Officer Wins TASBO’s Top Individual Award

Frankie Jackson, Chief Technology Officer in Cypress-Fairbanks ISD, has been named the 2016 winner of the highest individual honor awarded by the Texas Association of School Business Officials (TASBO)—the Commitment to Excellence award.

The annual award, sponsored by TASBO strategic partner AXA, recognizes an outstanding TASBO member who best distinguishes themselves within their profession, their community and TASBO. TASBO evaluates each nominee’s past accomplishments, volunteerism, leadership and contributions at the district level—including impact on student achievement.

Jackson, a former president and vice president of the TASBO Board of Directors, has served as CFISD’s chief technology officer since August 2013.

“I am honored to be named as the recipient of the 2016 TASBO Commitment to Excellence award,” Jackson said. “This award is reflective of Cypress-Fairbanks ISD’s commitment to excellence. Receiving this award while serving at Cy-Fair is the ultimate career highlight for me.”

Jackson will receive the award during the second general session of the TASBO Annual Conference in Dallas on March 3.
